Fantastic stay great service by the young receptionist I beleive a mane was abbi told a fantastic place to go and room was lovely and clean and very comfortable bed great night sleep. I even gave the receptionist couple boxes of chocolates for being so helpful highly recommend this place for lovely stay
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely loved my stay at The Oakwood Hotel! The staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home. My room was spotless and really comfy — couldn’t have asked for better. The setting is lovely — nice and quiet with a bit of a rural vibe, but still close enough to town which was perfect. And I have to mention the little tuck shop shed outside — such a cute idea and so handy for snacks! Can’t wait to stay again — highly recommend!
The staff were superb - they honestly could not have been more welcoming, homely, honest and friendly. Big shout out to the wonderful Alice, Chris and Abby who are three of the genuinely nicest front of house staff I have met on my extensive business travels around the British Isles. Three lovely people, each warm/welcoming and charming in their own unique way. the hotel is great, easy to find and with plenty of parking. My room was super-clean, and very comfortable on all fronts. I sleep so well, the place is very, very quiet both inside and outside. I am regularly visiting Innsworth and Gloucester with my job, and this is a great find. Highly recommended, and for sure I will be back. Thanks team, and huge respect to Alice, Chris and Abby for your kind and genuine hospitality. The little things say so much about a place, and these guys are a credit.
Recently stayed at the Oakwood with a large group and they coped with us famously. Flexible and courteous in approach. Always accommodating. It's no secret this hotel is in the midst of a large redevelopment programme which if given the quality of the bar area is to use as an exemplar will be outstanding. The staff were awesome. No request too difficult given our large party status made the trip amazing and stress free. I come back again.
Cheapest hotel in the area. Very basic but large room for the price. Bath very small but shower was fine and powerful. Took 6 attempts to get the correct address added to the invoice but got there in the end
Everything you need and would expect. Room was clean with tea/coffee/biscuits provided. Beds were comfortable. TV worked with ability to play netflix. Bath and shower. View was pleasant and hotel easy to find from the road. Free parking. Receptionist was friendly. No food facility on site and the exterior grounds could use some TLC. As stated though, room was absolutely fine which is the main thing.

I got to stay here for work reasons Honestly I didn’t mind the place..it was clean, the staff were nice, the bar was okay and had alright drinks and the rooms were clean and tidy too..the smart tv was a big plus I won’t lie! The only downside to me was the location which was a bit far from most places but other than that..unless you don’t mind driving for the smallest thing then it’s not all bad.
